David Echeverria

Chief Executive Officer

Founder of DSE Solutions, David Echeverria (Da-veed Etch-eh-va-ree-yuh), is a Political & Strategic Consultant specializing in data analysis, logistics, project management, and political organizing.

David is a graduate of the University of Louisville where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Organization with minors in Socio-Cultural Anthropology, Political Science, and Social Change.  He was also named the University of Louisville Homecoming King in 2021, the first Latino to earn the crown at the institution.

Born on the Gulf Coast of Florida, David now works with clients from Kentucky to New York. During his time in Louisville, KY, David has worked in the community as a Grassroots Community Organizer focused in the issues of education, immigration, as well as racial & economic justice. This experience has led him to work on campaigns that center the values of community and youth empowerment. Due to his work on these projects, David was recently recognized as one of six Inno Under 25 Honorees as a result of his leadership and innovation in the Commonwealth of Kentucky prior to turning 25 years old.

Maliya Homer

Project Manager

Maliya is a community organizer, visual artist, and life-long learner, who is committed to resource building and storytelling. Aside from her work managing projects here at DSE Solutions, she is currently participating in the YouthxYouth Global Action Fellowship--where an intergenerational network from around the world aims to transform education in their community through coalition building and sustainable practices. Maliya graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Pan-African Studies where her research focused mainly on Black/African religious histories, lesbian and queer experiences, and the lasting impacts of radical movement work of the 2010’s-2020’s. Her skills in conflict transformation, digital marketing, youth voter engagement, political education, and event planning, make her a great asset to our growing team. She is a critical thinker who is eager to continue building connections across a variety of fields! When she isn’t working, she is likely keeping up to date with the planetary transits, tending to her house plants, reading, writing, or playing with her dog, Neptune!
